We connect students interested in finance, economics and politics with the regions driving the next phase of global growth and geopolitical influence.
From industry evenings and case competitions to in-house research, and social events, EMN gives you a place to connect with industry professionals, build commercial acumen, and gain a global perspective from day one.
WHAT ARE EMERGING MARKETS?
Emerging markets are economies in transition — countries like India, Brazil, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia that are industrialising rapidly, integrating into global trade and capital markets, but haven't yet reached developed-market status. They combine fast growth and young populations with higher volatility and evolving institutions.
There is no single official list: index providers like MSCI classify markets by size, liquidity and accessibility. The map and chart below use the 24 countries in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, with live economic data pulled from the World Bank Open Data API.
